Mechanical Lab Technician (m/f)
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Carry out all lab measuring tasks, CMM, tensile testing, roughness, Shore-A, compression set, in-process checks, incoming inspection tests
- Creation and edition of measuring programs /routines for repeated tests/measurements
- Information / Reporting of results in the desired format with other functions and sites
- Develop and maintain a calibration system for VAC
- Coordination and prioritization of measurements
- Carry-out of measuring tasks and prepare results
- Optimization of measurement tasks
- Proficient use of all equipment in the laboratory
- Selection of correct measuring device for specific tasks
- MSA studies/calibration of test equipment VAC
- Suggesting improvements for the development of measurements to HQ and local functions
- Support VAC in the design of special measurement equipment
Your qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Must be extremely detailed oriented and able to carefully follow verbal and written test procedures
- Hands-on mentality
- Good understanding of technical drawings / GD&T
- Good understanding of lab and calibration requirements IATF 16949 and automotive customers
